180° Urban Design has been working on the Smart Dwelling Initiative with the New Urban Guild by participating in a national conversation on the future of home building. One of the first questions being addressed, Are small homes the new wave? To give you a general idea of the project, the Smart Dwelling Initiative will put the American home on a diet. The Smart Dwelling Initiative will encompass a number of plan types and sizes, but the average size will be about half of last years bloated American house. Here, Brian Hendrickson speaks on the efficiency of building smarter, smaller homes.
